Q: I am a new parent to Irish Dancing. What is the Booster Club about?
A: The Booster Club is like your school PTA. It's a parents' organization designed to inform and support our dancers in their various dance activities. We welcome all parents to lend support so that our students get the most out of their dance experiences. Please consider volunteering for one of the many fun and fulfilling opportunites provided by the BDBC!
Q: What events are sponsored by the Booster Club?
A: Every fall, the BDBC coordinates a used shoe sale to help defray the cost of dance shoes for the students. They sponsor social events, such as a welcome back picnic and ceilis. In the spring, they coordinate our participation in the St. Patrick's Day Parade . They have also run a "Fun Feis", an educational event to prepare our dancers for feis participation and more recently, seminar sessions on feisanna. Many of our accomplished dancers have received financial aid from the BDBC for travel to major competitions. These are just a few of the activities and services provided by the BDBC.
